Remember two years ago, in 2023, when it started raining in July and almost never stopped all summer, and continued until the following spring, resulting in the wettest ever 18 months since records began in the 1830s.
In contrast this summer has been fantastic. It's been sunny for months and low rainfall. Even the 'unseasonably windy' day at the start of August, whilst very blustery, was sunny with blue skies. Unfortunately, the signs of the end of summer are now here. Still sunny, but dark now by 9 pm, and some flowers are past their best. There is still some sunny days ahead though, and time to complete a garden project, such as installing water butts, creating a pond, or building a shed.
