Driveway border

If you have a front garden that has been paved over for an extra car space, why not add a small border down the side. Not only will it look good, it will also provide nectar for bees and butterflies.

It doesn't have to be much work either. If you plant low maintenance, ground cover flowering plants, it should only take a quick tidy once or twice a year to keep it looking great.

If you have no open ground for a border, and don't want to dig up paving, you could alternatively add some narrow raised beds or planters. See the planter section for some ideas.
